Modern Slavery Policy

Pedwar does not tolerate forced labour, servitude or human trafficking and applies proportionate checks to relevant supply relationships.

1. Purpose

Pedwar Ltd. is committed to preventing modern slavery and human trafficking in its business activities and supply relationships. Forced labour, servitude and trafficking are incompatible with our values and will not knowingly be accepted in any part of the work we commission or purchase.

2. Scope

This policy applies to the director of Pedwar Ltd. and to any contractor, consultant, supplier or other person engaged to work with or on behalf of the company. It will also apply to any future recruitment or employment relationship.

3. Our business and supply relationships

Pedwar provides software development, website, hosting and digital support services. Relevant suppliers can include hosting and cloud providers, software and communications services, equipment vendors and independent professional services.

The direct risk within Pedwar’s own activities is considered low, but technology supply chains can extend across countries and organisations. We therefore remain attentive to the conduct and published commitments of suppliers, particularly where services, equipment or labour may be sourced through longer supply chains.

4. Expectations

Anyone working with or supplying Pedwar is expected to comply with applicable employment and human-rights law. We will not knowingly work with an organisation that uses forced, compulsory or trafficked labour. Material concerns may result in further enquiries, corrective requirements, suspension of work or termination of the relationship where appropriate.

5. Proportionate due diligence

Due diligence is scaled to the nature, location and value of the relationship. It may include reviewing a supplier’s terms, public policies, ownership information, contractual commitments or responses to relevant questions. Preference may be given to established providers that publish clear labour and human-rights standards.

6. Reporting a concern

A concern about modern slavery connected with Pedwar or one of its suppliers should be reported directly through the Pedwar contact page. Reports will be considered promptly and sensitively. No person raising a genuine concern in good faith should be disadvantaged for doing so.

7. Review and approval

This policy is approved by the director of Pedwar Ltd. It will be reviewed periodically and when there is a material change to the company’s activities, operating structure or supply relationships.
